Congratulations on Another Great Season!Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Varsity runners on another outstanding season! The varsity girls finished 6th at the state meet, making it four years in a row that they finished in the top 10 as a team. The girls were let by seniors Bella Cammarota (4th) and Isabelle Gaharan (10th). Bella's 4th place finish was the best individual performance at the state meet for our lady's program since 2010. This was also the first time we had two girls in the top 10 individually! Sophomore Jackson Hogsed (7th) led the boys to a 3rd place team finish with an outstanding individual effort of his own. While the boys were disappointed on where they finished as a team, this was the boys' 5th "Top 3" finish in the the last seven years! Thank you to all the athetes, parents, and coaches for another fun and sucessful season!

Ended on August 08, 2022updated 7 months ago by Coach Tigue2022 Meet ScheduleExpiredThe 2022 Meet Schedule has been finalized (mostly). Here is a brief summary of what to expect for each meet or event. Team Time Trial 2 miles at Chattahoochee Pointe Park to determine the varsity runners for the initial meet and to establish training paces. Pickens Preview This was put on the schedule with the younger runners in mind. This will be the same course that our region meet is run on at the end of the year. Very spectator-friendly as the runners make three loops around ball fields Berry Clara Bowl Invitational A more traditional cross country course that is also spectator-friendly and is so old that Coach Tigue ran on it when he was in high school. The boys and girls both won last year. Carrollton Invitational The site of the state championship meet should offer a lot of early-season competition with teams familiarizing themselves with the course. The entries are limited to the top 14 or 21 runners so everyone not attending Carrollton will go to Milton. Milton Invitational We brought the whole squad to the Milton Invite last year and walked away with the Eagle Cup for the best overall program. It's a tough course but the JV races are run early (before it gets too hot), which should be perfect as our top runners will be in Carrollton. Wingfoot Classic The Atlanta Track Club puts on a great meet. A couple of years ago they split the meet into two days where most of the faster teams ran on Friday night and a lot of other teams ran on Saturday. With this meet falling on the first week of fall break, we are obviously hoping that we will be fast enough to run Friday night. Great American Held on the same course as the Nike Nationals Regional meet, Great American is one of the more competitive meets in the country. There are usually a couple of nationally ranked teams coming all the way from California and New York. It's a great atmosphere but we are only going to attend if we are at full strength. Coach Wood This has become one of the fastest and more competitive meets in Georgia. A great course to try to run a season's best towards the end of the year. Region Championship The region meet will be held at Roper Park again this year and just like the last few years it promises to be one of the most competitive region meets in the state. Our region teams this year include Lambert, Denmark, Central, South, West, and Milton. Only 4 teams advance to state! This will be the last meet of the season for everyone except our top 7 (if they make it). State Championship The 7A races will run around noon on Friday, November 4th.Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Varsity runners on another outstanding season!
